Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of PoliteSync at politesync.app (the “Service”), operated by ITIGMA s. r. o., Bazová 1102/2, 821 08 Bratislava, Slovakia (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. What the Service is

PoliteSync lets you create a link that proposes one or more meeting times to another person. The recipient opens the link and sees the times in their own time zone. They can confirm the time, or pick one of several, and send their answer back to you as a link. Meeting details are written into the link itself, and we don't store them (see our Privacy Policy).

We don't tell you when someone opens or answers a link. You learn their answer when they send it back.

The Service is currently free and needs no account. We may introduce paid features in the future. If we do, these terms will be updated first, and the free features described above will stay free.

2. Your content and your responsibility

You decide what goes into a link: the subject, the description and the times. You are responsible for that content and for whom you send it to. In particular:

• Only include information you have the right to share. If you include another person's name or details, you are responsible for having a legitimate reason to do so.
• Don't put sensitive information in a link (health data, financial details, passwords, government ID numbers). The link passes through our hosting provider and through email and chat services we don't control.
• Don't use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages, to harass anyone, or for anything unlawful.

Under the GDPR, you are the controller of any personal data you put into a link: you decide what it contains and who receives it. We don't read, use or keep link contents for any purpose. They reach our hosting provider only as part of loading the page, as the Privacy Policy describes.

3. The link is the only copy

The Service doesn't store your links. This has consequences you should understand:

• We can't recover a link you've lost. Keep a copy if you need one.
• A link can't be changed once it's sent. To change a time, edit it into a new link and send that.
• Links depend on the current link format. We work to keep older links readable, but if we change how links are written, very old links may stop working. We'll give notice on the site where we reasonably can.

4. Availability and changes

We provide the Service “as is” and “as available”. We aim to keep it running but don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We're a small operation: if something breaks, write to us and we'll do our best.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, code and branding belong to us. You may use the Service for its intended purpose, but may not copy, resell, scrape or reverse-engineer it. The content you put into links remains yours.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses (such as a missed meeting, a lost candidate or lost business) arising from your use of the Service, from a link not working, or from a recipient's actions. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under Slovak or EU law, including liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

7. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your own country, and you may bring a claim in your local courts. Consumers in Slovakia may use alternative dispute resolution under Act No. 391/2015 Coll.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most problems can be sorted out by email.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change, and material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
